Family Campout is a delightful annual family event that the Foundation began in 2017 as one of many events supported by the Redwood City Sesquicentennial Celebration Committee to celebrate the City of Redwood City's 150th Anniversary! The Foundation took over the fields at Red Morton Park and created a campsite experience with a no-tech theme. Campers pitched tents, enjoyed a BBQ dinner, games, historic storytelling, a campfire with a sing-a-long, s’mores and much more! The next morning campers enjoyed a morning stretch and a pancake breakfast before packing up and heading home. The tradition continues! Family Campout is now one of the Foundation's annual Signature Events attended by 200+ grandparents, parents and children. It's a great event for all ages, but an especially low bar for first-time campers. (We cook the meals, and you're only a short drive from home!) Check back in the spring of 2025 for the next campout.
