In 2017 Chalk Full of Fun expanded to Courthouse Square and Chalk Alley. With the City of Redwood City celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2017, the Foundation asked artists to incorporate this celebration in their artwork. Participation grew to 120 chalk artists and we expanded our footprint to accommodate the increase in the number of artists. Chalk Alley on Hamilton St. grew, the Chalk Tunnel was a hit, as always, and a new Free Chalk Area was added for spontaneous chalk fun on Broadway St.
The annual chalk festival is always FREE for all artists and visitors who participate. The success of this annual event is directly attributable to the support of the AMAZING event and chalk square sponsors and dedicated volunteers...THANK YOU!
