Chalk Full of Fun @Home Edition Chalk Festival

Saturday, July 4, 2020

Now in its 6th year, Chalk Full of Fun took place as an @Home event due to the pandemic. We were not allow to gather in downtown to create chalk art and celebrate the 4th of July, so we pivoted and created a virtual festival! We handed out over 570 chalk kits to the community-at-large and for the first time had a contest with over 200 entries. This annual chalk festival is always FREE for all artists. The success of this annual event is directly attributable to the support of the AMAZING sponsors and dedicated volunteers...THANK YOU!

Since 2015 the Foundation has hosted Chalk Full of Fun in downtown Redwood City during the 4th of July festivities. The two-day chalk festival attracts artists from near and far who create chalk art for the festival visitors to view and admire.

The event has grown to include masterpieces on Courthouse Square and Chalk Alley (located at Hamilton & Broadway). Additionally, registered artists (of all ages and abilities) decorate chalk squares, and festival goers enjoy the Chalk Tunnel and the Free Chalk Area for spontaneous chalking fun.

Chalk Full of Fun is FREE for all artists and visitors who participate. The success of this annual event is directly attributable to the support of the AMAZING event and chalk square sponsors...THANK YOU!
