The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) made Redwood City its home in 2019. A key goal of CZI is to support their local community.  In their Redwood City office, CZI created a Community Space available for use by their community partners. The Foundation is honored to have led the first art project for the Community Space. We engaged many community members and asked them to complete two writing prompts on a Post-It note: "I want to live in a community where..." and "To create this community, I will...". Over 2,000 Post-It notes were received and over 1,200 were used to spell out the word "Community" for a mural which is 16 feet wide and 6 feet tall, and on display in the main room of the CZI Community Space.
